The idea was brought to my attention about a "pre-WTD Tech Day" and I thought it was a pretty good idea considering I want to fix up a few things before I make the trip again. If anyone is interested in doing this, has the space available to do it (and wouldn't mind having people over), or has a good idea on how to do this please post!

Ideally, Charlotte would be a centralized location for the Carolinas, but we all know everyone doesn't always have the money or time to make a couple hour trip. If we had to split it into two different events (NC/SC) that would be cool too. It doesn't even have to be a tech day, just a chance for some new faces who will be traveling up to the Dragon for the first time to get to meet people and talk caravan schedules.


Let me know what you all think. Again, this is just a feeler thread but if we get enough interest I'll do my best at making it happen!

I'm down for that, bc I was planning on doing some Pre-Dragon maintenance myself. Don't forget that March 30th is VIR Charity laps, and a lot of Carolina members will be attending that.

Would you be good for after lunch on the date of Cars and Coffee? I figured I would try and combine the two dates and make it worth while for those who have to travel a bit.

 

Sounds like a great idea, but I guess it depends on when Lazy_s2K wants to host it. Also, depending on how many cars we need to work on, we may need to get an earlier start on the day. Personally, I am shooting to have my maintenance stuff done ab 2-3 week before WTD. I want to give myself that time cushion, just in case something goes wrong and I need to order parts.

I have some garage space but idk if ill be done with mustang swap by the time its time. I am game for a tech day tho, just figure out the day and location and i can ask off from work.
