Wow thanks for all the input, Yes Elk Grove Ca is a suburb of Sacramento. We also have a club on this site for the area. We have some great mountain and coastal roads both about an hour away.
I have been teased with some work in the Charlotte area. Any input on living outside of Charlotte. I have a feeling its a world away from Asheville. I bet its more humid, crowded, and probably not as nice as the Asheville area. I would look to live about 20-30 minutes outside of town. Any ideas for locations or should I stick with Asheville? Thanks for all the info!

 

Asheville.....the BlueRidge Parkway is 460+ miles of absolute driving/motorcycle riding bliss!

I went to the Bell Chere Festival one summer.... plenty of girl/girl. That seems strange for this area but there are many earthy types in downtown.

Consider also, just down the road is Hendersonville, Brevard, The Cliffs and Upstate SC. There are lots horse farms, twisty roads and plenty of retirees in those areas.

And the "DRAGON" is still within 2-2.5 hours

 

Ok Tomas. Where in north raleigh is this dangerous area!? I havent hung out in raleigh in a good 10 years, but still... cmon dude, even downtown raleigh is reasonably safe.
