w1ingman described EXACTLY the way I did it, noodles and all.

However, VFROOM came up with an ingenious way to hang the callipers from the springs to reduce the "floppiness" (a contraption I'd like to install on my wife ).

Portland, your calipers look great. Black is also the color I chose about a year ago to do my calipers. I like the stencil logo on the front calipers too. Gotta check them out in person next time we meet up.
