No Premium Gas

No Premium Gas
So last night I went out to Chili's with some friends to watch the football game and to hang out. Well as we are beginning to leave I start up the car and realize that my gas light is on. I drive down to the nearest gas station and I find that there is no premium gas So I drive on down to the next gas station and guess what no premium gas again. I don't know about you guys but I just can't think of putting 87oct in my car. So I look over at the pump beside me and find 100oct gas Needless to say it was $6.99 but I thought the "S" would enjoy a little race gas Its just weird that there was no gas at all except the race gas.

Everyone went on a gas run two weeks ago, so there's a lot of gas sitting in full tanks in cars that don't get used regularly, plus the Texas refineries that supply the SE shut down for a week, so there's a gap in available gas.
Fwiw, I still buy premium at a BP near me for $3.84 while other places are out at $3.99 (reg prices) - I think it depends on how busy the area is.

I went to asheville for the weekend and Every gas station in a 30 mile radius was out of 93. I spent Hours and hours looking for premium. I ended up having to put in a small amount of 87 with octane booster until i finally found a small station with 92.
Luckily i discovered that Robbinsville NC still had 93 so i was still able to enjoy my trip to the dragon and surrounding areas.
Greensboro was out of 93 also.
So many gas stations were closed it wasnt even funny. It looks like the only places which had 93 were the stations which closed on sunday and were out in the sticks. :/ Scary

I ran into the same situation on Saturday, here in Clemson. Couldn't find an ounce of 93, and when I finally did it was $4.29/gal. I'd rather pay the extra cost to run then Premium over the regular in my S though.
