Well, the 'nice' people at Carmax took posession of the Uboat this morning.
It was fairly unemotional as I had been preparing for this for a few weeks now.

On the way there I told my wife I was taking 'the long way'. I took the Uboat to that special place where we had so much fun (the on/off ramps of I540) and we did a few triple-D runs for old times sake.

I will always remember the loud buzz like sound of V-tec at 8500RMPs and 1xxMph going under the over passes.

I must have looked like I was on drugs when I got to the place: Grinning ear to ear, messed up hair (Had to put the top down... just HAD TO!), top down on 45F weather, radio way up.

I just hope the U-boat finds a nice home... and I find another U-boat in Australia (for a reasonable price and with low miles )

Diego,

It's too bad that it was completely unfeasable to carry your S2000 with you...I know you will miss it.

I hope your move back to Australia is good and that it fulfills all of your expectations/wishes.

Good luck, in finding a new toy to play with...when the time is right.

Best wishes...I know everyone in the Carolinas will miss you.

Adios, amigo

Visited www.carmax.com and see that they have 2 other S2000's in Raleigh's CarMax.

'00 Berlina Black/Red w/19k miles = $21,998

'01 Silverstone/Red w/46k miles = $21,998

And, OMG! An '04 in Dulles!
'04 Sebring/Black w/2k miles = $29,998

And Diego, just for you man. Could you believe what color they listed the '04 as?

GRAY

Really man! I busted out laughing when I read it. I'll miss you man.

Thanks to everyone for their good wishes.

Although I don't have immediate plans to replace the S, over the last year I have made s2ki my start page and I don't see that changing. You guys are great and I like surfing this site.

So expect me to continue posting everyday.

BTW Raul, How do I change my status to 'not owner'?
