From what I read, you just pay the extra fee for the plate you want - your "sticker fee" is not due again until plate expiration. But, then, I was never good at reading DMV stuff, so that's just what I "think" it says!

[QUOTE=DEIGER,Apr 9 2007, 07:04 PM] I am debating turning in my Blue Ridge Parkway plates and getting a custom plate.

no way in hell you'll get BULLSHIT

I went down to the DMV in person and requested my plate. I went through the computer filters and even the people working at the DMV. Weeks later I finally get a notice saying my plate was deemed "possibly of poor taste"

my plate was supposed to be: HOLYSHFT

I did better than that. I had HOOFHRTD for a year until the DMV requested it back after someone spotted it and sent it in as a funny tag to the Raleigh N&O. The next day we got the letter from the DMV saying it was offensive

Well I didn't get my "Bulls Hit" plate so I went with and old stand-by:

"1 FAST S".

Something different. I got rid of batguano and decided on this as a replacement.

It's Italian for fast S.

I like the plate but I'm not digging the red lettering. Much prefered the blue, but what the heck. The standard NC plate I have for the moment is also that red.

We essentially have the same plate in different languages, Lee.

I hate the new red letters. I love that Bulls Hit plate. I hope that passes.
