Hello everyone! Im michael and 19 from union south carolina but spend most of my time in the spartanburg area. I have been reading along and looking around s2ki for a few weeks now trying to get the feel of things and this is my first post. I am in the market for a s2k and believe i have found the right one for me. With that said i have owned a mustang for about 3 years now and i am going to be new to the whole honda "tuner" thing. The car i most likley will be buying within the next few weeks will be a black ap1 and i wanted some opnions.......I will have around 3000 after its all said and done i was looking into getting some coil overs and wheels. What are some suggestions as far as what i should do.....all opnions welcome!

Welcome as a fellow past mustang owner myself I can say you'll never want to go back. These cars are far better in so many ways. You will get a million different opinions on wheels and suspension. Theres lots of great options. My opinion is save the money and get some forced induction. About the only thing these cars really need is more power.

You'll actually SAVE GAS with TURBO!
Haha don't listen to this guy... If you aren't in boost you are getting the same mileage you'd be getting NA .
OP, you will find that I am stock, but I have put a few of my favorite "S2000 with aftermarket wheels" photos on my "whatever" collection of images here: http://redefinedesignnc.com/things.html They're interspersed among other things.

Welcome to the boards! Take your time with that $3000 you have there, find out what you really want to do! You'll find you have people that are all about functionality/power and some that are all about looks/stance.
My suggestion would be to drive the car around STOCK for a few months, you'll find that you will scrape your front bumper here and there so think about if lowering is really worth it with those coils. Rims isn't too tricky but it's a pain versus most other cars. You'll find that most rims require you to get your fenders rolled. If that's the case, there are plenty of people here that have had it done and can point you in the direction of people that are skilled in doing it.
Like I said, take your time with it. We try to do a meet in Columbia once a month and tend to have between 10-16 cars come out. If you come out you'll be able to get a better idea of what people have gone through to make their cars the way they are (whether it be performance or looks).
Again, welcome and look forward to meeting you!

Hey Michael,
Welcome. I agree with the above, take your time with the mods. No rush, the car is pretty damn good the way it is. Go out to some of the meets and talk to everyone and look around to see what you like and do some research and then spend your money. The group here like most forums has there opinions of what is best but do what you feel comfortable with and like, at the end of the day that's all that matters anyway.
Post up some pictures when you get it.
