New Bern Auto Show is a Success! (Lots of Pics)
The auto show that SunCom sponsored on Saturday was a big success. We had nearly 35 unique cars on display! The S2000's had a great presence with Rick Hesel, w1ngman and ugotmade attending. It was great to have PlasticThug join in as well! The day was full of action and we really enjoyed a great day. It was pretty hot outside but it was something you adjusted to after a few minutes.
Rick, Dave and myself were judges (thanks Rick and Dave) for the show and we spent a good part of two hours reviewing the cars and scoring. In the end, a '66 Chevy Super Nova won Best of Show in Domestic Class!
The '69 Ford Mustang took home the Runner Up in Domestic Class.
For the import class, we had a really tough time reviewing and scoring the cars. In the end, Best of Show went to a Mazda B2300 pickup truck.
And Runner Up for Import Class went to a Honda Civic Sedan.
Besides the competition side of the auto show, we had a great turn out of fantastic folks and unique autos.
Here are some additional pics below!

Here are a few more pictures.
The judging team: we were scrupulous, fair, and tough, and we had a great time.
This is a photo I've always wanted to take -- my S2000 in front of Tryon Palace. Thanks to Airgate, whose route for our drive after the show included a stop here, I finally got a chance to take it.
Thanks, Airgate, for a great day, a great drive, and a great dinner!
