Is there a SC BBQ Trail?
Anyone have any favorite BBQ restaurants?
My favorite is Bon's in Chapel Hill... http://www.bonshomecookin.com/

BBQ Lodge in Raleigh, Don Murray's in Raleigh, Spoons in Charlotte, Bubba's in Charlotte, Parker's in Wilson...Just about any place with good Eastern Style NC BBQ, Wilber's in Smithfield...many more I can't recall, Stephens near Benson...
I like Maurice's in SC, interesting mustard based, looks nasty but is very good too.

I'm partial to Bills in Wilson. Parkers in Greenville comes in a close second.
To me, the best is Bs in Greenville. They cook their own and it's a mom and pop operation. Get there before 1115 or you cannot find a place to park.

I've not been to the Skylight Inn in Ayden recently, but it is always right up there on the best BBQ lists. Another one I like not on the list is Buddy's, a family run place between Kinston and Greenville off Hwy 11. It's really, really good. I hope it is still there, since I'll be down that way in September.

In the Columbia Area, I recommend Little Pigs and Palmetto Pig for real bbq. Also Doc's is new and pretty good, as well as Po' Pigs Bo-B-Q. I also like Carolina BBQ in Spartanburg.
IMHO, the best BBQ I've ever had was at Duke's in Orangeburg. It's a hole in the wall and only open 3 days/week, but WOW...makes me hungry just thinking about it.
Now I've gotta go get lunch...thanks guys
