Default my stupidiness damanged my car past weekend!! :-(

Past friday night, I barely got home sometime around midnight after a day of exhaustion, and I was stupid enough to forgotten to apply hand breaks after shutting off my car. During that night, my car slowly backed into my garage door with slightly help from the elevation of the ground and put two dents into the middle of rear bumper from the 2 screws on the garage door, nothing was damaged except the bumper which that ruined my weekend!!
STUPID STUPID STUPID STUPID STUPID!!!

Park the car in gear AND use the hand brake and there'll never be a worry.

I barely ever use the hand brake, I just leave it in gear (unless on a moderate incline/decline). Esp if the brakes are wet, and I don't drive it but maybe once every week or two, the pads stick to the rotor.

BTW: Eddie, sorry to hear about your misfortune.
