How frustrating! The DVD will not play on my Phillips DVD player. So, I guess I'll have to break down and buy an X-Box or PS2.

At any rate. . .which should I buy? The X-Box or the PS2?

I like the X-Box better personally. But I was at Wal-Mart earlier this week and the PS2 has finally came down to 199 from 299. Not sure about the X-Box. I will buy one when they are down to $99. I was not aware that the X-Box played DVD's. I don't understand why the porn DVD will not play in a regular DVD player

PS2 Raul! Definitely. Huuuuuuuuuuuge library & developers are really getting into their tools for that machine. No slap to the Xbox (its a good machine & certainly has its power buttons over the PS2)...buuuuuuuuut...(and research it yourself) the Xbox is *not* selling well. At least no where near as well as it was anticipated to sell. Point? Well, when a machine does not sell, developers don't like to invest their resources into developing. Again, I ain't sayin' that WILL happen to Xbox, but I *will* say that developers are invested in PS2. Its games are VERY fun -- can you say Grand Theft Auto 3, or WRC, or Gran Tourismo 3... And soon (believe it or not), the PS2's modem will be available. Nice that Xbox already has a modem...buuuuuuuuut...PS2 (aka Sony) is going to let its owners go online with whatever ISP they already have. On the other hand, Mr. Bill "I-gotta-own-everything" Gates, will force Xbox owners to utilize MSN in order to play online games via the Xbox. On top of that, while both PS2 and Xbox are now down to $199, it is Sony that you can thank for that great price (and it *is* a great price for a fantastic gaming system along with a DVD player). On top of *that*, Sony has punched a number of its PS2 game prices down to $20-$25. Aaaaaaaannnnd, don't forget the PS2 plays PS1 games juuuuuuuust fine too. Can't beat backwards compatibility if you already own some nice PS1 games (or wanna purchase/rent some) like TOCA or TOCA2 just to name a couple great PS1 racing games.
Bottom line: Go with the PS2! And hey, ya know you can trust me -- did I steer ya wrong with the Kumho's??:bashful:

PS...if you want to, you can forget all the advice above, shake your head in anger over your Phillips, and simply GIVE me your Porn 2 DVD on June 30th!
