That would be great man. I'll be there for 2 weeks starting tomorrow, and then permanently around June 14th. What kind of things are there to do? Are there many people around there?

Some of the guys over on the "other site" are planning a get-together in the Raleigh area for 6/14..... Hopefully you can join us, and welcome to the area! I live in Mebane (between Durham and Burlington); when we moved back from Cincinnati last year we did NOT want to go back to Durham...

Dave - That might be a moving day for me but I'll try to make it if I'm in Durham by then. Are you thinking a lunch or evening type meet? And any info/insights about Durham?

I lived in Durham from 1956 through 1998. Done my time there
I prefer to live out away from the mess in the city - my commute to RTP is only about 35 miles, and the schools are better, and tax rate less in Alamance county. And, I have a 40-mile twisty course right outside my front door.
I can be in Durham in 20 mins for a Bulls or Duke game, or to go to the mall at Southpointe.
These meets are usually a lunch and drive kinda thing - have to see how this one develops, but that is what I'm expecting.

Dave - Good to talk to you today. Forgot to ask, are there many other s2k/car enthusiasts around that area? Any meets?
Autocrossing. Track days. Rallycrossing. Lots of friendly people, and lots of connections to be made. Meeting is monthly, second Wednesday of every month, at the Rudino's in RTP (right off 40).
VIR is about an hour north of Durham, just over the VA state line. Plenty of other road courses within a few hours' drive.
