Default Moving to the Charlotte-Concord area

Hello,

I am moving to the Charlotte area later this month and am going to begin looking for a house. My new job is going to be near the University Area, so I have been looking near Concord. Are there any particular subdivisions that anyone can recommend that are both nice and somewhat inexpensive? This is going to be our first house and my wife won't be working for a while, so we aren't looking to go nuts. Just something decent to live in for a few years. Any input on the Concord area would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Rob

Congrats on the move and job! There are a lot of reasonably priced neighborhoods in the area but its also VERY congested. You might also want to consider slightly south of the area along I-485. Less congestion.

I live in Matthews/Mint Hill, and driving to the University Area is about 10-15 min.

Of course being from MA the congestion might make you feel at home!

Where exactly will you be working and do you only want to look in the Concord area?

I live in the University area.

We just moved into Highland Creek. It'd be a very easy commute for you from here. We are right near the Concord Mills Shopping Mall.

What price range are you looking for for housing? I think you can find single family in here for in the mid 150's.

Good luck in your search...there are a ton of homes for sale in the Charlotte area, it's unreal.
