Well, it was just a year and a half ago that I moved up here to Huntersville, NC. Have certainly enjoyed my time here, but it is time for a change.

As many of you may know, Dena is originally from Chicago and we love the life there. Plus Sears was a past employer of mine. With Kallan and Brian living there now, it gives us some great friends. However, problem is we hate winters, so we are not moving there. No offense Kallan and Brian, we will still come and visit!!!

But on the subject of city living, we do have a desire to have a bit more of a city lifestyle. With that said we are leaving the country atmosphere of Huntersville and moving to......................Downtown (sorry) UPTOWN Charlotte!!!!

Three weeks ago, we purchased a house in Chantilly, a very nice community inside Charlotte. We will be closing July 17th and moving in soon after. (House warming party is in the works!) Good news is we put our home in Huntersville on the market last Friday after 3 weeks of prepping and received an offer the next day and had a signed contract before the weekend was up!!!! This is great news!!!

We are really excited to be closer to a lot of our friends, plus looking forward to a lot more Uptown night life!

Good luck with the move. I can understand wher you are coming from. I miss the big city life also. Originally from Southern CA and lived in Orlando, FL for 3 years.

I appreciate all the comments. Moving will not be an issue. With the many moves in my past, I now pay someone to do. This way there is more time for the partying.

BTW: Did anyone find the Chicago thing funny or misleading? Tell me I am not losing my touch...........

Pffft...paying people to move? How 21st century!

 

But the Chicago winters don't last that long- 7, 8 months tops.
