Default Modified Ap1 headlights

OK..... I threw this in the gallery, figured I would share with the local folks!

I have had the urge to do something different with my headlights here lately. I have drawn up a few things but this is just step one, the diffuser. I have always hated the way the Ap1 diffuser was shaped. Most people find fault with the actual amber color .......... that doesn't bother me, I actually prefer it.... just not in as much amount as it was before. Because of that I have always ran with them naked. I was photoshopping when I got an idea and ran with it just to see. I dug through the attic (and past ) and was able to find my old diffusers. Did the whole tape, sand, prime, paint process on them (went though a few paints til I found one that matched the inner housing perfectly). I like it, it accomplished what I was looking for. Once everything within the headlight is done, I'll be pretty happy. I do appoligize for the pics, I just snapped these really quick. Better pics to come. Opinions welcome!

I wish you didn't use photobucket for all your image hosting needs. That crap is blocked at work...

Too bad paying members don't get galleries or something.

Thanks for uploading them and PM'ing me Mulder... now edit your post to have the correct images.

BTW, I think they look sweet. I'd be interested in seeing them in person. Too bad you didn't show them off yesterday when I was in town.

Great Job on the lights Jason.

I have disliked the yellow diffuser on my headlights for a long time. This seems like a good solution to make the headlights stand out and look great. I always wanted the AP2 headlight partly for this reason. I'll have to try this out on my lights when I take the bumper off later this fall, to change out the Intercooler and turbo setup.

I Might need a few tips on doing this so it comes out right?

Thanks guys! No problem Carlos. just give me a buzz, always happy to help! Yeah Jamie, no problems with it. Multiple reasons for choosing the middle one to leave.. one of them being the diffuser lines up directly behind it so it is just as bright as it was before, plus the reflective surface on the side of the amber helps to scatter the light as well.

I know Garrett, my bad. But I didn't finish until about 6. I figured you guys were packed up and back on the road by then.

I went and snapped a few more in daylight: (Garrett, I will upload them and PM you......... again........
