And and for those talking about S2ks when BlueIon doesn't even own one I thought it might be interesting to look at the same report for the S2000:

http://usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/cars-...nda_S2000/2008/

it got an 8...

So while I don't feel like anyone needs to get pissed off about someone's opinion there seem to be a lot of people out there that when surveyed share it and don't try to tell me all those EVO owners were "dumb ass tuners that go for max power."

To be fair, the video is of an EVO 8 not an 2008 and here is the correct link to JD Power and it reviewed as a dependable car:

first off all if you view 3 out of 5 for powertrain dependability as "dependable," you and I have drastically different points of view on reliability to begin with. Secondly you gave a link to the Lancer which is not an EVO, not even close...

Since mrchristopher feels it necessary to point out we are talking about an 05 EVO 8 here I took the liberty of looking up reviews to see if perhaps the older ones were more reliable as he claims.

Here is a consumer review on Edmunds:

http://www.edmunds.com/mitsubishi/lancerev...umerreview.html

The 05 EVO 8 scored a whopping 1 out of 10 on reliability BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Boy you guys really backed the right horse in this argument, congrats.

Holy smokes! According to this thread:

http://forums.evolutionm.net/evo-general/3...on-numbers.html

We have 4500 (approx) 05 EVO 8s

You following me camera guy?

And we have to assume by the previous link that we have 9 out of 10 fairly unhappy customers of said EVO 8s.

That's a whopping 4050 "dumb ass tuners that go for max power."

Someone should alert the proper authorities.

Right...kinda like the two links that *someone else* posted and *I* corrected in the very next post to link to an actual Evo review, which...

You guessed it...is what this thread is actually talking about.

If you're just joining our discussion....

***CLIFF NOTES***

-Videos posted about Mitsubishi Evos eluding the cops in the UK

-BlueIon makes funny comment making light of the his opinion of the Evo's poor reliability

-Several Evo fans proceed to become extremely butt-hurt and demanded proof of claimed poor reliability

-Reports are produced that show reliability far worse than BlueIon, or anyone else, probably even imagined

-Humor ensues (appreciation for this portion might depend on level of Evo worship, but chill out, its just a damn car.)
