Default Legal advice

So last night I got pulled, apparently I have been driving w/o a license for about 3 months now. I paid my fines for a speeding violation a day late resulting in the suspension. Today I am going to the DMV to get my license back. But as far as court matters are concerned, when I go do I just need to show them that I got my license back to get out of it or should I get a lawyer?

what's the penalty for driving without a license?
if it's just a fine, pay it.
if it's a misdemeanor or something like that, you'd want to consider a lawyer.

Just go to court and show a- you paid your fine, albeit a day late, and b- you have a valid license now, and that should be enough to get the current charge dropped.

I dont THINK Im in a big pickle here b/c apparently all I have to do is go to the DMV and renew my license. I have already paid the fines/ fees from the speeding ticket last year, but from what the cop said I was a day late.

If its a day late, you can argue that you paid on time but a clerk probably filed it late.

SWEET! Just what I want to hear! I wonder if I should drive my car to the DMV or park nearby and walk there.

This reminds me of Sonny Curtis and the Crickets song ..................I fought the Law and the Law Won..............

I doubt you need a lawyer. Just show up in court and prepare to be humble. The DA should be able to handle it.

Yeah, talk with the DA before court starts and he'll dismiss it and save you a couple hours time witting in cuort listening to shoplifters' cases.

The 30th of next month. Also, think I would get in trouble if I drive myself to the DMV today? Or should I park nearby and hike it there?
