An easy place for you to go is Charleston. Great food and beautiful historic architecture.

If you're going to be flying to a destination, I'd say:

Manhatten and Central Park
Disney World
Las Vegas
San Fransisco
Seattle
The Magnificent Mile in Chicago
Yellowstone National Park

What about my home state- Nebraska. Its lovely this time of year; about 5 degrees, with a windchill of about -40. You can view the open plains, buffalo, and, um, hmmm...thats about it. But not many have visited before, so think of it as a good conversation piece.

- Daytona, either for Speedweeks or Bike Week.
- Drive the Pacific Coast Highway - Thru the Cali beaches & the rocky coastline of Oregon then up to Seattle to have an authentic Starbucks.

We should visit the Homestead (sister resort of the Pinehurst). Not far from the Blueridge Parkway. We could do a nice drive on the Blue Ridge and live it up at the Homestead.

That makes The Pinehurst look like a motel 6.
