I am getting ready to purchase new tires. I am keeping the stock wheels, but want to go one size wider and the next step down in profile. The SO2 does not come in that size, but the SO3 does. Does anyone have any experience with the SO3. My next thought was the Michelin Pilot Sport.

I would advise to stay away from the Michelin Pilot Sports. Of course, this is my opinion. I had the Pilot Sports on my '00 before I traded and only got 7k miles before I had to replace them with S-02's. The S-03's are better than the Pilot Sports, but not better than the S-02's.

Have you considered the Kumho Ecsta's or the new MX's?

I currently run Kumho's on my S2000 and not only did I save $200+, they are fantastic in the wet and handle well. It's just a thought and I hope it helps you out!

Airgate,

Thanks for the advice. A friend of mine has Kumho's on his Porsche and thinks they are pretty good. Guess I will try them out.

hmm kumhos, you love em or you hate em. I've got about 3k on my kumho 712's and i really dont like em. Sidewall flexes more than S0 "X"'s and seems to loose the feel of the road. Time to go get some S02/3's or nitto 455's.
