I had a blast Sunday!
I had a great time Sunday in the mountains, it was friggin awesome. A big thankx goes out to Golden Eagle who plotted such an awesome route. Also thanks to everyone that attended, I hope you guys had as much fun as I had!!! Now that I know how to get up there I will go up there more often. Looking forward to doing this again!
Sorry Saki I didn't catch your message till it was too late As much as I like Mexican food I like the down home cookin of Sarah's mom, so that's where we ended up eating.

all I had was a video camera. I will have to do some serious editing cause my girl had a bad case of the shakes and appears we are in the worst earthquake ever!! Also for soem reason she decided to zoom in a just the slightest bit, which made it seem like we were going maybe 15mph

I agree with the rest of y'all. That was a lot of excellent driving. That should definitely go on the favorite roads thread. If Jay or someone else who knows the route would post the directions or map I'm sure some of the others who didn't get to go with us would appreciate it.

Thanks Matt for organizing the get together yesterday. Glad to see everyone got home safe. I also had a great time and enjoyed meeting you guys and gals. I am please that you enjoyed the roads. It was my pleasure. Hopefully we can do this again. If time permits I want to organize the second annual "NC-VA Border Run", maybe in October, but I think it will be hard to top yesterday.

Here's a map for a drive I'm going to try when I have time. Be patient if you open the link. It may take a minute or 2 even with a broadband connection. I'm not sure I trust the text directions, I'm more interested in the map to show the route I want to take.
