Dang its COLD up here. I went to the weekly S2k "foodie" meet and it was 7 degrees with a windchill of -6. Luckily for my S she is tucked away in the garage, while I suffered the cold and took the train. The things I go through for my S....

 

I put a couple of quotes in there for you. I did 3.5 years in Alaska and my gf is from Chicago, so why try to trump each others stories.

Let me open this discussion, which is worse:

1) Wind Chill of -20
or
2) Actual -20 weather with no wind chill, solid cold as we called it.

We've been thinking about you guys a lot. Lately every time we catch the weather report we look for Chicago weather and have pitty on you.

I feel for you guys, this first winter...after being in the sunny south for so long.

I'm going home to Missouri for Christmas, and I'm hoping for a heat-wave there...so I don't freeze my toes and fingers off.
