Sorry. I should have posted this up over here as well but Ive been swamped travelling for work and whatnot. Anyways apexperformance.net is where I got my helmet. If you sign up for there newsletter youll get something like a 15% off coupon you can use. Also I think the 2 day price is part of the holiday special which ends at the end of this month.

CMP recognizes our factory rollover protection as sufficient:

5. EQUIPMENT
All open cars must have a roll bar and conform to the following unless a hardtop is installed:
Porsche Boxsters and Cabriolets, Honda S2000, BMW Z3 & 4, and other similarly equipped cars, are satisfactory as configured from the factory with factory installed roll and/or pop up bars.
For all other open cars, the roll bar must meet SCCA or PCA Club Race specs for materials, design, installation and height.
Roll bar must be padded in an area that may come in contact with the occupants (driver and passenger) helmet or other part of the body.
Targa type cars do not require an additional roll bar, but must run with the top in place.

You better also check that NASA doesn't require it though. Just because the track doesn't have a regulation requiring a rollbar in the s2000 doesn't mean that NASA won't and hold you to it.

A factory roll bar such as those found on a Honda S2000 may fulfill this requirement, but “style bars” or “show bars” found on some other cars would not work.

I might be interested in doing this. $230 seems pretty reasonable.
I've got to think ahead though about my tire and brake situation.
Right now my tires are as follows (each being x/32" and listed from outside in on the left and inside out on the right)
Front Left
5 6 4
Front Right
4 6 6.5
Rear Left
4 3.5 4
Rear Right
4 3 4
The car's going to mostly sit the rest of December, so I guess I'd put on about 1,000 miles max before February 11. Do you guys think I could run on about 3-4/32" of tread and then replace the tires right after.
As for brakes, I put on new OEM pads and rotors in July. Are you guys going to run stock pads? Or are you going to get track pads to use?
