Honda S2000 CR
#11
Track-prepped S2000s used by actual club racers tend to have ...
1. More horsepower.
2. Upgraded drivetrain.
3. Upgraded brakes.
4. Stickier tires.
5. Weight reduction.
6. Aggressive suspension settings.
7. Maybe some aero stuff.
8. Safety upgrades (such as a roll cage).
Am I missing anything?
Of that, what can we reasonably expect Honda to do for the CR? Suspension settings, brakes, and tires? That's easy enough to do yourself (where "do yourself" in the case of suspension settings means "pay someone else to do it").
Still, I'm interested to see what they do.

Except for the upgraded brakes part. THe stock calipers are fine with track pads.
My take on it is that it's more than likely going to be a letdown. I'm expecting something like the HFP (Honda Factory Performence) parts for the civic and accord. I'd bet on HFP-esque springs, shocks, and wheels. A slightly different interior and a "special" badge. To get anything near what the club sport miata used to be would be so far from what Honda does, it would be quite surprising.
