well what you need to do is get a certifed sheet with a DB meter showing the exhaut's loudness at different RPMs. Compare that to the law.

yeah i wont be goin up there again. im not even gonna try to pass a db test, i know i would fail that horribly. i used to work in mooresville on commercial dr. i dunno if there was an ngk back there so im not sure if that was me.

 

I got a ticket there a few weeks ago for speeding. 62 in a 50mph, I was doing 57mph, but the cop was saying his radar caught me doing 62, there were 3 others car that was right next to me and gotta be doing 60mph with me. I pulled into the BB&T and started to talk my way out, but no go at the end I just took the ticket. As far as exhast sound the other cars next to me were reving like hell, but he stop me instead I have stock exhast and was barely making any sound, thou I was speeding thou. But I guess our cars stand out to much and become easy targets for cops.

Were you the one with the carbon hood, volks wheels?? I was out last nite too in the sebring hardtop

 

There is a new traffic unit, whose sole purpose is things like this. This is the first I have heard of someone getting pulled for exhaust.

I would say that if you stay away from the mall area on Friday and Saturday nights you won't have a problem.

I would fight the exhaust ticket, if you have a current inspection how can they say your exhaust is defective?

 

i have a current inspection and i am going to try and fight the ticket i think, im just not sure if i can beat this one. i know my exhaust is louder than hell. i just wasnt being loud with it at the time he decided to pull me for it. yeah that was me in the gpw with the cf hood and the volks. i kept wavin at you but you seemed like you were ignoring me

 

Dude that sucks! I was just fixing to put my invidia back on. I've never had a problem with cops and my exhaust.. Oh well. Its not gonna stop me from putting mine back on haha!
