Default Help with wheels?

I've been searching for some wheels for my S2k, I really want some gunmetal or hyper black. I was lookin at 18's but, of course, am on a limited budget. The biggest issue I've had is finding a staggered set for a reasonable price. I'm looking for something to look good and be a daily driver so I can put racing rubber on my stock wheels. I've read many forums about how the staggered setup is the only way to go and had some questions. Does anyone know a semi local place that I could go who deals in well priced staggered wheels? Or if not, what would be the issue with running 18X8 all the way round (assuming the wheels are offset correctly)????

If you are on a budget, stick with 17s, based on all I've seen. Consider using the classified here to find a set you like, and then have them powdercoated for color. It would also help if we knew your budget.

I think these would look pretty sharp on a Suzuka:

S2K black and polished

I'm not much for black rims on the Suzuka blue, but did want something darker so that it wouldn't show brake dust as much. My budget is about 8-900 for a set.

I have a set of wheels and tires for sale in your price range. They are not gunmetal but they are correct stagger and they are in your budget. I don't think you will find a set in better conditon for this price. Check this link to my post in this forum...

Good thought - Jay's wheels are in darned near perfect condition. Powdercoating them in gunmetal, Ultra Black or whatever you want is usually around ~ $50 per wheel.

Other alternative is to get some low-dust aftermarket brake pads.
Hardtopguy ( a sponsor here, and a heck of a guy) has a bewilderingly large set of pad offerings, including some low dust ones.

I think you will like gunmetal on your suzuka.
I love that color on mine.

Here's a set. It's a bit more than you were wanting to spend but maybe we can work something out.

Is there an issue with running 18X8's all around?

Well, Honda designed the car with staggered wheels for a reason, but it is your car, and if you want to run 18x8s all around, go for it! I suspect you will need to roll the front fenders, at a minimum.

YAY! Finally found a staggered setup that I like, brand new wheels 18X9.5 rear 18X7.5 front. Gunmetal gray sportmax type 962's with the correct offset. Well under my budget even after shipping. Thanks to everyone for their posts, especially Batguano, I appreciate having been able to see how the gunmetal is going to look on my Suzuka.

Thanks!

Daniel
