Help, Probably Getting Ready to Sell
Well, I think the time has come for me to sell the S. Where has anyone had luck selling any of their cars? I'm thinking Autotrader.com is my best bet?
As for my price, KBB has trade at just over $18k, private sale at just over $20k, and retail at over $22k. I actually owe $20k on it still, so I'm needing to at least get payoff for it.
2002, Spa Yellow, around 33k miles, mosty highway (trips to Key West, trips to/from FL and NC. No accidents, no engine problems, never has needed any service, doesn't burn oil. Always garaged, driven on the weekends only, sometimes not driven for weeks to months at a time. Original owner, bought the car new with 6 miles on it.
Mods are cleared corners, cleared sides, Invidia with silencers (also still have stock exhaust), 4IG CAI (also still have stock air box), yellow/black shift boot, Muz front under car X brace, and eyelids (easily removed if needed to).
Honda options are the side strakes, front lip, rear spoiler.
New front tires, rears still have half life left, fresh oil change (synthetic, every 3-4k mile change). Front of car has usual rock chips as a car with 34k miles would.
Feedback?
Thanks,
Dave

Sad to hear Dave! But if memory serves me correct there will be a replacement that would still allow you to enjoy the Dragon and other great Carolina roads, right??????

I'd return the engine to stock and ask KBB plus 5% for it. Charge a little more for the body mods. You won't get any real money from the parts on the car, and maybe you can use them on a new S. Without a warranty, its hard to compete with CPO cars. Post it for sale here, Craigslist in Charlotte and surround cities, and if you want to pay, Autotrader.

sell me your muz brace....
but for selling, autotrader is a must! Just in case ya know.
Also, take it to hendrick honda, they can certify it and sell it. Your car is clean man, they could pay extra for yours. They bought my old acura cl straight from me once. Wont hurt to ask them if they want it.
Also, I would use Ebay as a last resort. Make sure you coincide to have the auction end on a weekend evening around 7-9 pm so more people are home to bid on it!

You've got a very clean car...
Shouldn't have any problems selling it, but as stated above, you may actually make a few extra $$$ by returning it to stock form and parting out some of the mods seperately...
Good luck, Dave...

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm not a handy man, so I really don't want to mess with taking off the extras and selling them, even if I could get more money out of the sale. I just am not good with tools. All of my mods (except the shift boot and eyelids) were put on by people that knew what they were doing. I don't know, so I don't want to touch anything.
Didn't think about craigslist. Wouldn't that get a lot of tire kickers and kids calling on it though?
