Heading to Raleigh
Me an a couple of my buddies are heading to the Raleigh area! Just wanted to know if you have any recommendations for clubs, bars, or even shopping malls! Your input will be greatly appreciated. I know this forum is huge and it covers the Carolinas instead a localized area. So if you get a chance to read this! Please post a response!
Thanks,
Will

For bars, I prefer the Flying Saucer.
Here's some info:

Beer Advocate Page
Don't know much about the local club scene. I'll have to defer to the younger guys on that one.

For Malls, Crabtree is the only decent mall in Raleigh. Behind Crabtree there is a great restaurant - Tavola Rossa - it has an orange sign.
Downtown Raleigh has some nice bars w/ live music, and for clubs, the club "district" off West St had a few places last time I was there. Five Star is a good but $$$ Chinese restaurant down there.
Bars downtown include the Pour House - live music every night and some large number of tap beers. Tir Na Nog is an Irish restaurant/bar next door, and there are a few other places in the local area.
Another hot spot is east of the NCSU campus. Sushi Blues is prob the best sushi in town, and there's a lot of nightlife around that stretch of Glenwood and surrounding streets.
Char-grill has the best hamburgers in town, and there are two or three of them you can hit.
