Default Hard-top lift

I am new to the board and need some help. Hard-top guy told me there is a lift design in your forum but I can't find it. If someone would help I would be really gratefull. E-mail is cardon203@comcast.net. Thanks.

Welcome Carter.

There are a lot of guys that have bought hardtops in this area(Raleigh) lately so I am sure this will be asked again. I don't remember seeing a design and if you search the web you will find car hardtop lifts for like $150 to $200. But couldn't you just use a bike lift like this http://www.bikerackshops.com/PBH-1R.html and modify it to hold the top. It holds up to 50lbs and the top weighs 44lbs. Way cheaper option.

I know it isnt the lift you are looking for, but here is a link to make a homemade stand out of PVC. I plan on building one of these myself at some point...

I bought the material for this at Lowes late last week. It costs around $50 for the material.

I have all my lengths cut out and ready to go, all I gotta do now is glue it all together.
