Got Grip.....Now I'm Exhausted!
Here is a nice uplifting story for all my Carolina Brothers and Sisters out there. Now that I am getting up there in years (Mid 30's), I find myself getting a little pickier about what I put on my NFR. Also, this financial responsibility thing kicks in and allows no C.C. debt, and with those 2 things combined it makes modding my NFR S2k go a bit slower. With that being said I made a couple of purchases.
1) Thanks to Scott at King Motorsports again for taking very good care of me with another safe shipment of some of their fine Automotive Products.
2) Thanks to those great folks at Mugen for making my wallet get a little lighter.
Here is what came yesterday:
This is what is there now and where the new piece goes:
Now for the unveiling (sorry I have no life, so this is everything to me):
After about an hour of pulling the 5 year old parts off, this is what now hangs there:
I felt is was time for an upgrade. Now she should breath easier with the Vortech up front and Mugen header helping out with the airflow. Easy in and Easy out!!!
I did a formal weighing of both during the install:
Stock exhaust is at 49lbs.
Mugen exhaust is at 27lbs. (loss of 22lbs.)
My other purchase was to replace my tired old S03's with some fresh Michelin Pilot Sport PS2's!
Now she is ready for the Dragon next week!!!
Hope you enjoy!!

That's a beautiful exhaust... Mugen makes some top quality parts. Now sell me your stock exhaust!
Sorry, I keep all my stock parts in the event I need or want to back to stock.
Believe it or not I just started it up after install and have not had a chance to drive it around with yet. At startup, however, it is a little (I mean a little) louder than stock with a little bit more of a rumble (V8 style). Should be able to get it out this weekend to test the sound quality. No sound clips though, because I don't know how to make them. Need to get Ron to teach me.
PS2 are nice so far, but haven't pushed them because I am still wearing the skin off of them. The Dragon later this week will show.
