I was going to look at some houses this morning. About 2 minutes from home, some guy in a camry decided he didn't want to be in the left turn lane, and merged right into my driver's side. I'm bummed....

Oh man, that sucks! We have a lot of people getting hit or losing their engines down here in Tampa too. There's some bad luck going around. How does it drive? Is it just body damage? Are you still going to make the Dragon run? Man, I feel for you.

So far, it drives fine. I imagine my alignment on that rear tire is off, but it still feels ok. I'm still going to leave for Charleston in it in a little while and autocross tomorrow. I'm supposed to be going to the Fall Colors pre-run next weekend and the Dragon the following weekend. If the car isn't in the shop, I will still bring it to both events. If it's in the shop, I'll be looking for an empty passenger's seat!

That sucks Bryan. Hopefully you will have it fixed in time.

I hope I have already used all my bad car luck: Rear ended at trafic lights three times, brother put the car in a ditch, some drunk bastard decided to kick in the driver's door, some other drunk bastard (was my friend at the time) made me put the car in a ditch AND wrap it around a pole, a fooooocccciiinngggg thief broke the rear window and stole my laptop and last but not least a dumbass in a Ford F150 decided to change lanes on a two lane turn pushing my Sentra onto the curb!.

That was with my first 4 cars. Nothing has happened with the last three..... knock on wood!

That sounds like a plan Dave. I'll run up to your place in whatever POS rental I end up with and ride shotgun with either you or Raul if my girl is in the shop. Thanks!!

Bryan, very sorry to hear about this. Thank God it was'nt an SUV! As fo ryou driving my baby, I would'nt mind it and/or you could be a passenger with either myself or Dave.

Hope she is able to be rapaired soon.

WOW! More generous than I'd mis-worded my suggestion Raul !!! I'd only mean to infer that Bryan could possibly talk you into driving your own car (rather than you riding shotgun in mine)...and then, as you suggested, he could ride shotgun with either one of us. Not that you reflected it here, but I hope you didn't get even a twinge of "Lord, Dave's got SOME NERVE offering up my car for someone else to drive! "

Again...you sure didn't freak out (cool)...but I never meant to infer that from my wording initially. Thanks

...I'm sure you could talk airgate into driving his car in the Pre-Run (current plans have been for him to ride shotgun in The Bruised Banana).

Not even a thought. I let Bryan drive my car during the Summer meet at the Dragon. He wanted to get a feel for the Kumhos. As long as we all get to the Preliminary drive on Saturday, I'm happy.
