Default Gas Prices

In Greenville, NC, in a 24 hour period they went up an avg of 25 cents on each grade.

what's the cause for the increase?

I'm feeling the same pain in Greenville. The tahoe is killing me! Down at EI there is a store that has reg. for $2.99. It's bad when gas is cheaper at the beach!

Until all us asshats with SUV's (yes I'm one of them ) stop driving gas-guzzlers and start using less...they'll keep charging us more.

As for now, it hurts at the pump, but I'll continue to pay it because I love my Jeep and S2000.

Guilty as charged, drivign a big v8 GTO, and Crown Vic are not helping the matter. I thought we had founf oil under the Rocky Mtns that amounted to more than the whole middle east had? Is this oil off limits or something? Why can't we use it to create some relief in the price per barrel war? I hate not having an explaination of why it continues to go up and up and up. Before long we are going to be in the post Katrina range, which is absurd!!! Then what heppens when we have a huge hurricane again? 6-7-8$ dollars for a gallon of gas? I personally think the government should deal with the issue, but I know that will never happen, cause they ride high in the oil companies pockets!!

We've already passed the Katrina range. National average at this point is 3.19 for regular. A month ago, it was 2.85.
