Default gas mileage

I've had my 01 for 10 years now and it has 235k on the clock. since I've owned it it has always gotten good gas mileage. it can go 180 miles to a half a tank. even with a sc installed it still gets 180 miles to a half tank. my new 02 I just purchased has 90k on the clock and runs fantastic and strong. but I seem to be only getting about 150 miles to a half tank. thinking of replacing spark plugs and adding fuel injector cleaner. even installed k&n air filter which perked it up some. still running the 16 inch wheels and tires. thinking of going to 17's to see if that will help with the mileage a bit. this car is completely stock. so kinda wondering what anyone else who owns an 02 what is your mileage like?

Have you calculated mpg? That is a better way to know how good or bad it is.

Sadly I track my mpg. I used to have an Excel spreadsheet set up for it, but now I use Fuelly. Since buying my S (40,000 miles ago) I have averaged 28.6 mpg overall.

Average of lowest 5 fill ups = 22.036 mpg
Single lowest = 21.12 mpg
Average of highest 5 fill ups = 33.87 mpg
Single highest = 35.1 mpg

But remember I am running an AP2 tranny in Stella so that will impact the mpg slightly. - Strangely several of my best tanks were run before the tranny swap.

It seems that you're lucky in the fat one. My 01 with 63k normally gave me between 25-28 mpg and I always get 150 miles on half tank. I did all spark plugs/ air filter maintenance when I got it 27k miles ago
