About the cops, and the Vettes... A friend of mine with a Corvette said they were talking about this on the corvette forum yesterday. One of those 3 vettes you guys saw should have been a yellow 4th gen, driven by an older guy (50-ish). He spun out somewhere along the Dragon, and supposedly the cops came to investigate.

I got a very spooky feeling knowing that my friend and I were reading about the same event on different forums at the same time. Real-life example of that whole "6 degrees of separation" thang.

msechrest,

The three Vettes we were playing catch-up with were as follows (and all late models):

1) White Convertable
2) Cream Convertable
3) Red hardtop

There was no yellow in the group.

I did hear on my Motorola at the Dragon about the Vette that had an incident at the Dragon. I also wondered if that was the reason the 5 cops and chopper went in.

I didn't mention this before but it was kind of interesting that when myself and Dolemike were flooring it to try and keep up with the Vettes, right at 115 my S2000 ballcap went flying off. Dolemike almost caught it. It went just out of his reach. I give him Kudos on the effort though.

Note: If any law enforcement are reading this forum, i lost my cap as soon as I hit 65 which was the speed limit on I-40

Thanks for the video post! I wish I wouldnt have noticed my suspension making the noise at that point, I normally would have been nailing it thru there, would have made for a slightly more action packed video lol. Im taking my car to a friends shop this weekend to get it on the lift and tighten and check everything. I was really sore feeling once I realized something was loose back there. Hehehe, I saw your hat come flying off and it was SOOOOO close, another 5ft and I wouldve had it. Had I been doing 120 er I mean 68 I wouldve had it.

DOH! If only one of those cameras were facing forward, it definately would have been interesting to see.
