Finally, a government policy I could get behind.

What about you?

At first I thought it was a good idea, but then realized that $25 is a smokin' deal: why goto the track when I can just pay a lower fee to speed near home? Yeah I don't expect to hear much more about this.

Best thing i saw was speed limit by lane with graduated fees to drive faster in the fast lanes (leftmost lanes are 30 mph faster than right most lanes). People get to drive faster, police still get to ticket people that use those lanes without proper license or exceed, and we get past the ridiculous low speed limits and offer people the choice to drive as fast or slow as they want.

Sounds like a great idea, but they need to also test people for inteligence before allowing them to drive that fast on public roads...

How about this....There will be an initial fee and driving test to weed out all the d-bags who don't understand the relationship of mass and velocity. The certification would not only make sure the car is safe, but the driver knows how to control the car at a constant high rate of speed. Especially, braking and cornering during wet traction.

Also, any car labeled as a hoopdie is excluded.

I like Scotts answer. I'll speed selectively for free (minus the cost of a V1 detector).
