This will be the first event of the Cape Fear Region-SCCA in 2004. Sunday - Feb 22nd at Twin Rivers Mall - New Bern NC.

FEB 22nd SCCA AUTOCROSS - NEW BERN FREE ONLINE REGISTRATION<-----CLICK

FYI
SCCA - NC -Website
Go thru the registration process and enter your SCCA class as BS (2000-2003 S2000's) or AS (2004 S2000's) if unmodified. Edit: 1st timers or Novices don't have to worry about the classes that much.

If you can remember, my first Autocross was back in November and I've really have caught the bug. There will be a 1st timer/Novice class for anyone who is just starting out in Auto-X just like me. I'll also be helping out somewhat in the organization of this event. I look forward to seeing my fellow S2K friends compete.

All kidding aside about Raul's Birthday, this was just a friendly reminder that since we'll be in his hometown, maybe we all can get together after?

I just registered. What exactly does the BS class mean? I was trying to find the list of rules, found some although I don't know if they were the right ones.

BS is 'B' Stock.

With your mods, I think you'll be best off running SM2 (street modified 2-seater). ASP ('A' Street Prepared) would be your other option.

In Stock classes, the only allowed modifications are:

any brake pad/fluid
any front sway bar
any DOT tire on stock size wheels +/- .25 inch offset
any catback exhaust
any air filter, but stock air box
any shocks (2-way adjustable max) that attach to the stock location and use stock springs

any mod not listed bumps you into a higher class.

just the shift knob puts you in ASP

if the spoon rotors are bigger than stock, that bumps you up even higher in SM2. i wouldnt really worry about your class. just go out and improve your technique and have fun

I just printed two of these and will display them at my SunCom stores. VFROOOM, please have Bill contact me sometime. I could help with the event, if need be.

When/Where do we need to send the money, or can you pay the day of the event?

Day of event. You will likely be able to join the SCCA for a reduced price if you want. That's what I did in SC. Saved about $25 bucks overall on the event & membership.

I'll sign up for it...as long as those sneaky stop signs aren't around the course...
