Default Drywall Help

I just bought a house with an unfinished attached 2 car garage. The ceiling and one wall has drywall installed. I'm thinking about installing the rest of the drywall, but hiring someone to do the "mudding and taping". Does anyone know of a good contractor with descent prices?

I'm off of Harris Blvd, near Hwy 115.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Why not do it yourself? After its hung, mudding and taping is pretty easy, and since its your garage, its a good place to practice.

Yeah, sheetrock work is pretty easy. Just remember to stagger the joints and use fiberglass tape instead of the regular sheetrock tape. This way you can eliminate one step of mud/sanding.

Hey...this is a great thread...I'm also a new homeowner in the Charlotte area - Matthews, NC and my garage needs one wall done. I was gonna coax my beloved S2000 friends into doing it...but I always enjoy a challenge and learning something new. Maybe we can work together on each garage...then we can start a side business...

My first time trying it was in my kitchen, and it turned out pretty good. I'd definitely go for it in your garage.

How could I forget? You wore that open-backed apron for just the right touch.

Alright guys... you sold me on doing it myself. I'll be sure to post pictures of the final results for everyone's critic.
