Default Dragon noob

well folks i hate to admit it but i've had my car 2 1/2 years and i have yet to take it to the Dragon. which is why i'm headed there on wednesday. i figure if i work things out by myself first then i won't be holding everyone up when it comes time for DBR or another group outing....anyway, being a rookie, i'm looking for advice or tips for my trip. so let 'em fly!

thanks folks

Enjoy! The Dragon is an absolute blast!

I have 2 tips for you:

Whatever else you do, do NOT cross the double yellow line for any reason! That's the easiest way to have a bad day on the Dragon, and a part of the skill and fun of driving it is learning to do it safely.

At the end of a run, do not set your parking brake until your rotors have a chance to cool. Otherwise, you can warp your rotors.

Take it slow the first run. Get to know the road before you try to build some speed.
ALWAYS STAY IN YOUR LANE NO MATTER WHAT !

Leave your ego at home. Remember, you don't need to impress anyone.

ALWAYS STAY IN YOUR LANE NO MATTER WHAT !

Have fun and live to brag about it.

Have FUN and be careful. The most important things are listed above.

Just a couple more:
- If anyone comes up behind you, pull over close to the right-hand side and wave them by; there's no other way for people to safely get around you. People will be waving you by pretty soon!
- Be patient when you do get behind the inevitable slow movers; not much more you can do
- Oh, and be sure to have a famous "Dragon Burger" at Deals Gap. Almost worth the trip alone!

(*DISCLAIMER*---THIS IS A JOKE)
Well, fist thing you need to do is put on a cool blue jumpsuit...
Then, find your favorite CD and start it playing as loud as posible without the speakers distorting
Finally, act like your car has only 2 pedals....the one in the middle is pretty much unnecessary...gets in the way more than anything.
Also, the dragon is a great place to take a phone call, or skim the morning paper.

Be careful man....

you might want to consider checking your tire pressure and alignment.
