There's nothing like finding damage to your car that someone else put there to ruin your day.

I noticed the scratches when I got to work today, which means it happened in the parking lot at my office sometime after I got back from lunch yesterday. It was dark by the time I left work yesterday, so I must have not noticed it then.

I'm guessing someone was carrying a box or something and scraped it along the fender. It doesn't really look like a door ding.

Tried buffing them? They look like most of them may come out.

Good luck.

I'm going to do that tonight. Much of it is deep enough to feel with your fingernail, so I don't expect too much to buff out. I really wanted to turn around, go home and try buffing, but I showed restraint. It's been driving me nuts all day long though...

oh man!!!! sorry the closest ive come to that was back in school when someone apparently rested a full cooler on the bed of my truck and when they left, and pulled it off, were too lazy to actually clear the side of my truck, and decided to take the paint w/them...

That doesn't look like a scratch that buffing will help much. Esp. if you can feel it with your nail. Good luck tho.

I had a smaller mark like that on my rear bumper and I used some scratch x by meguiars and it took it right out.

Thanks for the scratch x recommendation. I picked up a bottle and worked for about 40 minutes to remove 95% of the scratches. There are still about 7 deeper scratches, but the bulk of it is gone. I'll take the electric buffer to it this weekend after I give her a bath and see if any more of it comes out.

Damn, I hate to read stuff like this. Hope it comes out for you. Wonder who did this at your office.
