in meck they take cash or a money order....

take the pjc, and if you haven't had a ticket or a driving violation in 3 years ask if you qualify for/and can take the safe driving course. the cost is about the same as court costs and it won't effect your insurance and no points go on your license.

just don't get another ticket for 3 years or you'll wear both charges.

What county did you get a ticket in? In Guilford Co., for example, you can show up and plead to take a driver class to get it dismissed. In Wake, you need to hire a lawyer for a chance at non-moving, or just show up and get 3 years probation. I'd recommend a lawyer if its Wake Co.

PJC is the last recourse imo - you don't want probation for three years just waiting to double whammy you if you get something else.

I hated the whole precedure in Guilford with the driver class. They messed up and didn't let me know my initial court date got changed, then got to take the driver class which was about an hour long drive each way for me (had to go there 2x, once to register/pay and then to take the class which was 4 hours), and then sat around in court for a whole day because they misfiled my paperwork. And of course then still had to pay the court costs. I think it worked out to about $350 out of pocket and over 16 hours of my time wasted.

For payment, I'd say have cash ready.

Really, just hire a lawyer. For $200-300, you get it changed to non-moving and never have to deal with court.

Saki GT is right, go with a Lawyer for $60 or 70 over the price of the ticket and court costs you will have it taken care of and not have to go to court or points on your ins.

The 26th....haha I'm down ! but seriously, I was told by a few people do the plea and the will usaully drop to 9 over which won't hurt insurance. They do offer the class I believe, I took it 5years ago but it's like $300 and a waste of my life! Oh it's in Duplin county, sucks....

My wife is on her second ticket (her excuse to me was she was studying lol). What she was told by her public attorney was to plea improper equipment in which she did. They charged her the court fee and dropped the points.
