Clutch Change
Hey there I was wondering if any of you have ever tackeled a clutch replacemsent on an S2000? I am a decent mechanic and have done several engine swaps (honda, nissan, toyota) and several clutch jobs in the past not to mention countless other jobs. I was wondering if any of you have done one on your S2000 and if so , would you consider helping me one weekend Ill do all of the heavy wrenching I would just feel better with someone with some experience.
Thanks Marshall.

I've done it. It's a royal pain in the butt. Follow the tutorial in the Under The Hood FAQ and have the Helm manual handy. You will need at least 30 inches of ratchet extensions and a universal joint to get the upper starter bolt and the the upper transmission bolts. I would also get clutch alignment tool from honda. I used one that was close from an auto parts store and it wasn't close enough. I aligned it by eye. Also, get a good set of allen-head bits for a socket wrench for the driveshaft bolts. A couple of spare bolts wouldn't be a bad idea either in case you strip one.

You can get the ACT pressure plate from http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/ for really cheap. I just ordered one yesterday, got the ACT pressure plate, release bearing and street disc for 475 shipped. I think just the pressure plate was 370 or something like that.
