Hey guys. I was talking to my boss today and he was wondering when we were all coming back for some food and drinks! He has offered to pick up the first $100 of the tab of food and soda ( no booze ). We do have specials everyday though!

I would like to get a feel of how to organize this. Should it be on a Saturday afternoon and later we go karting or to the 1/8th? Or perhaps go drive around some roads on the outskirts and come back and eat and drink and eat and drink later on when it's cooler in the day. Perhaps a friday evening would be better in connection with a good show at Amos's. I hear the Roots will be playing there the second weekend of May.

I figure if we have 10 people, that's 10 bucks a piece in free food. 20 people is 5 bucks a piece, and so on....

My boss would like to make this a regular thing, he will let me start blocking off part of the lot so we can all park together, hang out as long as we want, and get good deals on food and/or apps.

I was thinking of squeezing this in between the dragon and HIN. Maybe the first saturday of May? And perhaps meet up later in the day so Steve can make it!

O.K. the day will be may 6th. it's on a Saturday. We will meet up at Tavern On The Tracks at 6 P.M. We will allow the earlier part of the day for tech., and a drive, considering I can map out some nice roads. I am leaning towards the mint hill area, considering that area of town has some curvy roads and there are only 5 cops on duty at any given time. My friend is also a mint hill cop so perhaps he can provide some insight/interference. We will have some great food and drinks, and if I can see that paigeland/mooresville has an open track that day, we will hit up the 1/8th mile.

 

what do u mean by earlier part of the day?? 2-3pm?

 

I'm in... I've been meaning to meet up for one of these, but this is the first one I'll actually be able to make. I'll check back closer to the date to get the details. Thanks!
