In response to Monster wanting to hear some aftermarket exhausts and being down for a few beers, people both with and without aftermarket exhausts will be congregating at the Flying Saucer off of N. Tryon (University area) around 7:30pm on the 18th of Sept.

HOWEVER (this is the edited part) - if you're able to meet earlier and fancy a bit of a drive, meet at the saucer at 5:30 - if it's packed and we're starving we'll sit, if not we'll go for a bit of a drive and get back for the official meet time of 7:30.

+1's are welcome as well, it's $2.50 pint night as well (of which, we all know, that people who are driving shouldn't have more than the legal limit) for those who are interested.

However, with so many going to Dragonball...next weekend 9/21-9/24...I don't know how much interest there would be...for those having just arrived back in town late Sunday !

could always do 2 of these, 1 a local weeknight type deal, and then a bigger more official MED on a weekend to accomodate both locals and those making a bit of a drive (from Asheboro, for example)

considering that, this weekend is the GSO MED (and way too short notice), weekend after that is DBR, then that leaves the weekend of the 30th as the 1st available for a bigger MED

I know there's a race weekend coming up, anyone know when that is (I'm planning on kipping at a mates, avoiding my area and it's stand-still traffic - so I'd appreciate knowing in either case!) so we could avoid the CLT MED for that weekend (like anyone could get IN to CLT that weekend - pfft!)?

 

This is all very exciting to me because I am a big fan of "the saucer".
They have something going on all the time, and specials running for one thing or another. I hate to get hung up on Monday if it interferes with to much.

Im in for whenever. I do think The Saucer would be a great spot though since they do have that large parking lot next door that is usually empty and TheOtherHalf is right, there is always something going on (music, glass night, pint night, etc.). I like Miss' idea of doing 2, one for the locals (for the exhaust show) and then a larger one later when everyone can make it.

ALL I KNOW IS IM GETTING EXCITED ALREADY! It will be nice to finally meet some fellow S2Kers
