Default Charleston - Need some help.

I've determined I have the common problem of needing the hub nuts re-torqued. When starting forward or reversing from a stop, there is a "click" from the left rear wheel section. After searching around here, I've come to the conclusion this is the problem.

Anyone around here have enough experience to lend me a hand? I hate wrenching on my own car for anything other than very basic stuff.

Take the wheel off. the big spindle nut needs retorquing. use a impact gun on it. undo the stake and retorque using a impact gun. then restake it. you won't have that problem again. had that problem myself and a good friend(mouse) told me about this.

It's supposed to be torqued to 220 lbs. An impact gun, which I don't even have, isn't exactly accurate for that sort of thing, is it?

I've got an impact gun. You are welcome to come over a borrow it. But I would have to agree. It is not the most accurate way to torque the nut.

You dont pound on it with an impact gun all day. Re-torque to 220 Ft/Lbs and be prepaired to do it again in a few months. I hit at mine and about 4 other S2K's with my impact and the never had another clicking noise, mine personally was for another 15K miles untill it was wrecked.
