Charleston!
The GF and I are coming to Charleston next Monday and Tuesday (11/12th). Never been before to do any touristy things. I'd rather hear from locals or people that have gone before rather than research the net. What's the best things to do that can be crammed into two days? We will be in the S2000 so hopefully the weather will be ok.

After a walk on the battery, you might take in Patriots Point.
By the way, if you stop to ask a local how to get to the Battery, pronounce it bottry. Thats the gullah pronunciation.
If you like real Greek food, there is a small restuarant on King Street across from the Omni. Its next to the old theater on Market and King.
Have fun.

I was born and raised in the Charleston area and I have never heard it pronounced Bottry.
The Battery, Market Street, The Old Exchange, Patriots Point, The Museum are all great things to check out while you are there. To be honest, there are far too many things to check out in just 2 days.
What kind of things are you really into?

id spend the first day downtown. there are lots of places to walk downtown, shops, galleries, etc...try not to melt. i think i lose about two pounds of water per hour im outside in charleston in the summer haha
2nd day id relax at the isle of palms. if you want to blow some bling, the boathouse restaurant is very very nice. ask for a cornerbooth or coconut joes is laid back and pretty cheap for being right on the beach.

boat house is a pro tip. the one on IOP is a little crowded but has a great view, the one downtown has better food IMO but no view. get you some oysters and the blackend tuna with blue cheese cole slaw and collards......you wont be dissapointed.
