I'm interested in going. Anyone been before or know how it works? Looks like there are tech and registration times throughout the day on Sat and Sunday morning.

I assume we get a whole lot of runs?

If it is like past years, then you have to work a 2-hour shift for every 12-hours (4 hours if you stay the whole 24). You tech your car and pull into the giant grid, which they roll though. Once you take your run, you can get back in line as many times as you want, time permitting. You get 6 'official' runs for the event and at the start line, you tell the starter if you want the run to be official or practice. When I ran it a couple of years ago, it took about 45-minutes to an hour to cycle through the grid, so you had that much downtime between runs (this was from about 7pm-midnight).

I'd like to try this some time, but I'm leaving tonight for the dragon and then Nashville and won't be back until late Saturday night.

BTW, check out this placeI reserved for the next two nights. It sounds awesome and is rented out by Ron Johnson, the admin of www.tailofthedragon.com... Anyway, I can't wait to get there and check it out!
