As far as I know I'm still good for this; wife said she would ride with me.

We should totally get some walkie-talkie's like on Top Gear, lol.

Walkie talkies are clutch.

Voxxer or any of the cell phone walkie talkie apps work decently well but there's 2 things that would piss me off driving from Charlotte to MB:

1. Assuming you're taking the 74>601>151.... route, you're going to lose signal on 151 at some point.
2. It interferes with music playing through my head unit, can't have that.

I bought these and they work very well. Just be sure you aren't on private channels; they don't always work with other brand radios.

Great idea Eddie. I need to charge mine. So Doug, do you guys want to come through town (Florence), or do you want us to meet you somewhere on Highway 52?

I'm a long shot now, but there's still an off chance I'll be able to make it last minute. I'll keep you guys posted.

Well it was looking crappy yesterday, but I just checked and they're calling for 60 and sunny now. I guess we'll have to wait and see as it gets closer.

For those of you coming from the Mooresville/Charlotte area, here's probably the best place we can meet up. It's right outside of Florence otw to the beach and won't take you through any more back roads than you'll need to go through. We can plan to meet at this spacious Shell Station and convoy the last hour to Myrtle Beach together. I'm not sure what time Doug is planning on departing, but as long as we meet up between 7:45-8:00, we should easily be able to make it to Boardwalk Coffee house by 9AM.

Shell Gas Station
4641 U.S. 76
Marion, SC 29571

Boardwalk Coffee House
4830 Hwy 17 S
North Myrtle Beach, SC 29582
