It was a beautiful day...
Hi, Gang !
Disappointed by our rainy Pinehurst MED...Brandon and I headed off to Pinehurst to run the route...in the DRY !
I wanted to tweak part of the route...which keeps on back roads a bit more...so we got that accomplished. It is MUCH better to run...when it is dry...we had several multiple digit runs !!!
Also, we scouted out another possible route/leg that could be added for a future run. A nice curvy stretch...which would have been much better without the minivan in front of us !
We wound up coming back through Robbins, and finished up by running some of the curvy parts of Zoo Run 1 & Zoo Run 2.
It did get a bit 'cool' with the top down...but TOTALLY tolerable !
Here is one of our brief stops...at the Pisgah Covered Bridge
Yes...we believe in integration
Brandon striking a fine pose!
Finally...remembering how my remote control works !

Had a grand time today Steve... Thanks!!!!
Today was exactly how we all had hoped the actual MED would've turned out... well the 'D' part anyways...
I managed to get her up to 118mph in one stretch... that's before the unexpected/unmarked stop sign brought us to a grinding halt...
There are definately some exceptional roads down that way...
Matt, there were more than a few looong straightaways down there that you would find very exciting... And you should be able to manage the curves fairly well I think...
I know Randolph Co. most certainly has some fine roads in it's own right...

Why didn't you guys call me?
It was kind of a spur-of-the-moment thing.
I think we may to try to get something up...as soon as we get back nicer temperatures.

That would have been hella fun. I'd definately be down for a run when it warms up a bit.
I also enjoyed the day, though my girlfriend didn't want the top down when we went out. We drove around some back roads in Burlington before heading towards Greensboro because she wanted to show me a Mini Cooper S Convertible the BMW dealer has for sale. Got the car up to 120 on a fairly short stretch of highway (future 840 east of Gboro, connects I85/40 to Hwy 70 currently). Also had it up to almost 100 on a backroad outside of Burlington. Ah what fun this car is. Though at 120 it felt a bit wobbly and I didnt want to push it any further. Until I get better tires at least. . .
