Anyone replaced Winshield yet?
I had a rock hit my windshield driving down to Florida over the past weekend. The insurance company sent someone out to try and fix the 1/4 inch hole but it doesn't look good by heating up the glass and trying to smooth it out. I am going to pay the 250 deductable to my insurance company but wanted to know if anyone else has had their windshield replaced. Any gotchas?

Sorry Raul. I guess it is just a bad time for windshields.
I talked to best glass shop in town and they say it is easy job but it will take a few weeks to get the mold in.
I need to ask about the black trim that is around the windshield. Will this be gone on a new winshield? Also do they take the inspection sticker off and put it on the new windshiedl?

hmm only took a few days to get my mold in, and they had to get the trim from the dealer.
Try asking your honda dealer about getting it done. Mine said they couldve replaced it there and saved me some hassle of having to find a shop that would do the job, got turned away at 2 shop due to them not getting a good enough discount on the windshield mold lol. So I told the insurance to tell me where to go and they took care of the rest. You get a new inspection sticker, dunno if they reinspect it but they give you a new inspection report sheet.

I called my insurance company today and they are going to order the OEM windshield. I guess that is the best way to go. I just wish they had law like S.C. where insurance companies cannot charge for windshield damage..
