i'm 17 years old and i got pulled about a week ago doing 38/25 ( trying to take girlfriends keys to her before her friends left she rode with them, or she'd be locked out of the house)

it was a $133 ticket courts on april 8th.

i know i shouldnt have been speeding and i have no problem paying the fine.

but i just found out 2 days ago that i got accepted to uti for engine building classes and advanced nissan training. and they said i have to have a clean record

i was just wondering if anyone would be able to help me or know what i should do to get the points dropped. if the whole ticket it dropped im cool with that too but i can pay the fine if i have too.

i just dont want to ruin my career before it even begins.

 

They probably mean "clean record" as no felonies...etc. Just hire a lawyer and they will take care of it for you.

ya that would be if i had the money for a lawyer. and i told the dude doing the in home interview i had a ticket for speeding that hadnt gone to court yet and he said to try and get the points dropped.

 

I just got a ticket also. If it's real important for you to get your points dropped you could try to plead careless operations. I believe that results in no points against you, but you will have to pay a higher fine.

 

i'm fine with paying the $. the dude at my interview at uti says alot of people from like bmw and everything come to them for techs and get high pay but they require clean records

 

I work Law Enforcement.

He meant no felonies or violent misdemeanors. Excessive speeding and reckless driving are only traffic misdemeanors. You simply got a moving violation. No big deal. You are fine. Just pay the fine and try not to speed as much.

no he asked me specifically if i had any moving violations.

i have no problem paying the fine im just very worried about the points.

i stopped by the city hall today by mall dr and they said i had to wait till the court date

 

Then try to do what I suggested. It should work.

 

k. i hope it does. i've already been accepted and i'd hate not to be able to go because of one ticket

 

Good luck. That'd be pretty dumb if they dont accept you because of that one little speeding ticket cause I mean sh*t happens. One speeding ticket isnt very serious.
