batquano - The way that the NASA site reads, I would have to have a rollbar. Do the oem roll hoops qualify?

This may be a stupid question, but is there anything I shoould know about insurance? Im thinking that my policy would not cover an accident on a race track but I haven't looked at the policy. Is there some kind of insurance I should look into or would an accident on track just be my loss?

Aright. I've wanted to do this all my life and now's the time. I'm going to sign up for one or the other in October, CMP or Roebling Rd. Any opinions as to which would be better for a first-timer? Does one organizer run a better event than the other?

CMP is a good course. I hope you enjoy it. It's a straight shot from Raleigh... kind of. Head down 1, then a few backroads. Make sure you fill your tank before you leave Raleigh & you wont have to stop for gas.
I have not been to a Turn One organized event. I see there were a few here who have been to their events & can give you a better idea of how efficient they were with their scheduling, staying on pace, & their employees. They are located on the track, so I'm pretty sure they know it very well.
As I saw in the other post, looks like all you need are some aftermarket pads & you should be set.
How effective are the S2k factory hoops? Has anyone ever rolled one? I'm curious about that. I know if it was me, I would be looking @ my options for an aftermarket roll bar, even for daily driving.
Have fun

From what I've seen the oem roll hoops do what they are meant to do. I might go to an aftermarket bar later, if I get more involved. I've got aftermarket pads and rotors already, hoping they will be ok.
